Ana Godinho de Matos
Ana Godinho de Matos
With degrees in journalism and anthropology & cultural politics, Ana has turned her considerable interest in people towards filmmaking. She specialises in three areas: the anthropological narrative of documentary, creative arts films, and short promotional films primarily for cultural and other organisations.

As well as practising film production, Ana also teaches it – most recently to a group of young adults in Valencia, as part of the EC’s Leonardo da Vinci programme.

Credits and clients include Sony, Native Voice Films, British Council, Friends of the Earth, RADA, Artangel and the Tate Modern. As an international filmmaker her work has taken her from Lisbon and London to Cuba and Mozambique. Ana directs an art documentation service called Chameleon Eye, that works with artists and galleries to produce the highest quality documentation footage, incorporating the best practice image and sound.

Working for the first time with Cornerstone Strategies in 2009, she has been the witty camera and editor behind the first online event for Temple Works, “Temple. Works. Leeds” and brings a fresh young perspective to Cornerstone’s cultural regeneration work. Most recently Ana worked as a filmmaker with Susan Williamson on the Bognor Regis Community College project to understand issues of inter-generational communication within the context of the creation of a student-run digital TV station.
